How long does window tint take? Front door windows are typically completed in under an hour. Full windshield tint usually takes about 1.5–2 hours depending on the vehicle. Full Vehicles take between 2-5 Hours depending on vehicle type and windows being tinted.  Can I wait while my vehicle is being tinted? Yes. Customers are welcome to wait in our lobby during their appointment. What’s the difference between dyed and ceramic window tint? Dyed window tint provides a clean, factory-style look and UV protection. Ceramic window tint offers improved heat rejection and comfort while maintaining clear visibility. Will window tint interfere with electronics or signals? No. The window films we use are designed not to interfere with electronics, GPS, or mobile signals. How do I know which option is right for my vehicle? We’re happy to walk through the options and help you choose based on your vehicle, driving habits, and budget before scheduling.​ ​ How long until I can roll my windows down? Between 48-72 hours after tint is applied is our typical recommendation, depending on the weather. ​ What type of warranty do you offer? Every window tint job we complete comes with a satisfaction guarantee, as well as a nationwide LLumar warranty that is valid at any LLumar dealer nationwide. This warranty covers fading, discoloration, cracking, peeling, bubbling and any other type of manufacturing defect. It does not cover accidental damage. What's legal? That's a good question, and if you try to find the answer on your own, you are likely to end up feeling confused. Michigan law states that tint with no greater than 35% Reflectivity can be applied. Sounds like you can have 35% tint, right? That is incorrect. Reflectivity has nothing to do with the darkness of tint. 35% Reflective tint is not 35% darkness. VLR (Visible Light Transmission) is what determines how dark or light a shade is. 5% means it let's 5% of the light through, 35% means 35% of the light comes through. Simply put, the back doors and back windows behind the front seats can legally be as dark as you would like. The 2 front doors and front windshield, essentially no tint, besides a strip, is legal.
