Hey everyone!
I am back to give some insight to the importance of having your car detailed every 6-12 months.
First of all, vehicles are a big investment! 2nd largest purchase that most of us ever make besides our homes. Most of us are guilty of treating it like an after thought though, myself included sometimes!
Not only does having your car detailed keep it in better condition for longer which can help the value when you go to sell it, the feeling of riding in a freshly detailed car is almost euphoric as it is one less thing that you have to worry about finding the time to do on your own, and it'll smell good too!
Stains on the interior of your vehicle also become harder, if not nearly impossible, to remove the longer you wait as well. It is definitely important to get to them as soon as possible so they do not become a permanent fixture in your cars interior.
Bird droppings, brake dust, bug guts and other messes that accumulate on the outside of the vehicle can also cause permanent damage if not taken care of. Ever see a set of wheels on a car that are peeling, permanently dirty with brake dust, or maybe you have seen a car with a peeling clear coat and paint? Those are some of the results of not properly maintaining your vehicle.
To follow up on that without going on too much of a tangent, automatic car washes can not replace an exterior detail. Are they convenient? Yes, absolutely. Are they cheap? Yes, most definitely. But that is about the extent of what they are. The brushes at automatic car washes can, and will, scratch your paint causing swirl marks that I am sure you have seen before. They also do not offer the same type of deep cleaning that a professional detail can. Comparing the 2 is similar to comparing McDonald's with Ruth Chris' steak house, sure they both accomplish the same goal of filling you up, but one is just slightly better then the other.
Life is extremely busy. Between work, vacations, kids, pets, appointments and everything life throws at us, it can be difficult to find the time to dedicate to cleaning your car. That is one of the reasons I started this business, to make the process of getting your car detailed as convenient as possible for my customers.
I truly have a passion for detailing cars, it is in my blood. The difference between me and a franchise detail shop, is that I am a one person operation. Detailing is what I want to do, not what I have to do as my "job", what that means for you is a much more personalized, detailed experience. I take pride in what I do and I truly enjoy it, which usually means you get superior results when compared to taking your vehicle to a franchise detail shop, plus you are also supporting a small, local business compared to some corporation.
Did I also mention that I am mobile? That means that I come to YOU to detail your vehicle. No worrying about having a ride to pick you up after you drop your vehicle off or any of the headaches involved with that. There are certain times, usually due to inclement weather, that I can't be mobile. In that case, I do have a space available for you to drop your vehicle off so your can get your car cleaned up year round. You may think detailing during the winter is not as important, and I can understand that thought process, but it is incorrect! It is important to get rid of the salt stains and general winter filth on the interior before it can cause any damage. Same with the outside of your vehicle, salt is very corrosive to a vehicles exterior so it is important to keep it clean when possible during the winter.
As a mobile company based in Pinckney, I service Pinckney, Brighton, Howell, Hamburg, Gregory, Stockbridge, Dexter, Ann Arbor, Saline and other areas in between. I will usually make exceptions for customers who may be a little outside my typical travel radius.
Thank you for reading! Don't ever hesitate to reach out to me with questions, comments or anything! I am always happy to help.
