As the owner of HD Auto Studio, my goal is pretty simple. I want to give my customers what they actually want, not what I think they should want. I’ll make recommendations when I think something may not give you the result you’re expecting, but at the end of the day, it’s your vehicle and your money.
I do not push aggressive upsells, and I do not recommend products that do not make sense for your vehicle. If you tell me you want your 20-year-old winter car tinted, I’m not going to try to talk you into ceramic window tint just to make a bigger sale.
I’d rather give you an honest recommendation, do the job right, and have you feel good about what you paid for, and that is what keeps customers coming back.

HD Auto Studio Story
HD Auto Studio started in 2017 as HD Automotive Detailing. It was a one-person, mobile-only operation. I worked evenings after work and weekends, loading everything into a 2012 Jeep Liberty and building the business one appointment at a time.
What began with mobile detailing has grown into a four-bay automotive protection shop in Whitmore Lake, offering window tint, paint protection film, ceramic coatings, paint correction and detailing. It is still surreal to me most days that this business has grown the way it has, and I will never give up the hard work and dedication that has gotten us this far.
The shop, equipment, and services have changed quite a bit since those early days, but the approach hasn’t. We give people straightforward recommendations, complete the work in-house, and stand behind what leaves the shop.
I am a lifelong Pinckney resident, I was born and raised here, I went to school here (class of 2006!), my kids are being raised here, my roots run very deep in this community. My first year of business was trying to figure out what I was doing, the chemicals, the tools, what did and didn't work, a whole lot of trial and error . I spent that time detailing my own vehicles, family members, friends and people I had known, just so I could get more experience before I started really promoting my business.
Most of this business was built through referrals from local customers sharing their experience with their friends, family, neighbors etc... Some of our biggest supporters are people I didn't even know before I started this business and that means the world to me. Nearly a decade later, we’ve worked on thousands of vehicles from Whitmore Lake, Brighton, Pinckney, Howell, Ann Arbor, South Lyon, and the surrounding area, and I cannot wait to see what the next decade has in store for us here!
